Business Description
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. It’s actually what I went to college for, later teaching in public schools and then becoming a corporate trainer, so it’s no surprise that I’m passionate about financial education.
My father is also an Edward Jones financial advisor, and after my son was born, I realized that this is where I needed to be too. This role allows me to pursue my passion by helping people understand and articulate their own financial goals before laying out the steps they need to take to get there. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing clients reach their goals of retiring, being able to afford college for their families or making sure their family is financially taken care of if something were to happen to them.
When a potential client enters my office, the first thing I want to know is what specific issue brought them in. My ideal client has a problem that needs solving — one that we can turn into a goal to work towards, like saving for retirement or funding a college education. It’s important that the investors I partner with understand not only what we’re investing in, but how it fits into the bigger picture. I take pride in my ability to connect with my clients in a way that lets them know that I’m always accessible and that I have their backs. When a client comes in with an open mind and a lot of questions, it allows my team to not only teach them about their portfolios but to take the emotion out of investing and explain our strategy in a way that keeps the bigger picture in perspective.
My office is located in Camillus, NY, but my technical background means I’m comfortable serving clients from across the United States virtually.
Outside of the office, I love spending time with my wife, Rachel, our 4-year-old, Oliver, and our Goldendoodle, Sully. I love teaching Oliver how to fix things around the house, playing table games and amateur woodworking.
